Bay News 9 Story on Pepin Academies Wleding Program turning old instruments into Art

Tampa, Florida – Monday, February 26, 2024 —Pepin Academies is proud to share that our Welding Program has recently been featured on Spectrum News at Bay News 9. The story highlights how our Welding Program students took old, used instruments provided by Recycled Tunes and turned them into art that was displayed at the Gasparilla Music Festival in downtown Tampa. We are grateful for the recognition and would like to share the story with our website visitors.

Class instructor and community artist Mr. Bryant Martinez said the artwork goes out into the public, and then more things happen. “The students get a chance to have purpose-driven art and seeing that art out in the community becomes exciting,” said Mr. Martinez.
