We are thrilled to share that Pepin Academies has been recognized with a STOP Award as part of the prestigious Yass Prize initiative, often called the “Pulitzer of Education Innovation.” This honor celebrates our commitment to providing Sustainable, Transformational, Outstanding, and Permissionless (STOP) education for students with learning disabilities.
What is the Yass Prize?
Launched in 2021 by Janine and Jeff Yass and powered by the Center for Education Reform, the Yass Prize was created to identify and elevate education innovators who are reimagining learning for students across the nation. The initiative began during the pandemic with a mission to reward schools that delivered exceptional education under challenging circumstances. Today, it has grown into a movement that has awarded over $50 million to more than 200 education providers, helping them scale their impact and transform lives
The Yass Prize operates on four core principles:
- Sustainable – Education models that can thrive without relying solely on philanthropy.
- Transformational – Approaches that truly change the learning experience for students.
- Outstanding – Delivering exceptional academic and social outcomes.
