What is the Yass Prize?

The Yass Prize, often called the “Pulitzer of Education Innovation,” celebrates education providers who exemplify the STOP principles: Sustainable, Transformational, Outstanding, and Permissionless education. Since its launch in 2021, the Yass Prize has awarded more than $46 million in grants to organizations that are accelerating educational impact with the urgency our students deserve.

Each year, the $1 million grand prize is awarded to the provider that most exemplifies these principles, with additional awards supporting dozens of innovative organizations. This year’s contenders represent a diverse array of approaches—from AI-driven learning and immersive educational metaverses to unique, student-centered environments—each transforming education for learners at every stage.
